Went to the beach today and found this dental bridge. It rang up 11 on the manticore and weighs just over 8 grams. It barely leaves a mark on my stone unlike silver will. Any thought as to what kind of metal they are. They must have belonged to someone young judging by the size of the teeth. The largest tooth measures just over 3/8 of an inch long.

I've found a few of those in Lake Tahoe, and all were 16k gold. I almost threw the first one back in the lake, but the weight made me pouch it. Big surprise to find out gold could look like that!
Anyways, congrats!

I’m going have a friend of mine scan it, he owns a pawn shop so I’ll know for sure what it’s made of. The weight of it is what makes me curious.

Yesterday I went by my friends pawn shop and they scanned the dental bridge. Turns out it’s 12kt gold. I had them check it twice, I didn’t think gold would look like that. Anyway a pretty cool find.

Do you recall what the other 50% was made up of for metal content?
