Twice this smoky last weekend if you can imagine. I'm usually on the way to work, at work, or coming home from work whenever I'm awake so it hasn't bothered me a lot, but you're aware of it even indoors. Hasn't discouraged the tourist crowd at all. Interesting old mining structure east of Salida along the Arkansas River.

I believe that was a feldspar mine or at least that's what one of my bosses at the Climax mine told me it was a long time ago. It's smoking everywhere across the state and not from any fires in the state. I got a little above it all last Thursday as I went over Guanella pass last week. Down here in the flats the smoke is flowing south all along the front range like a muddy river.
