Sniper Coil and Probe

More silly questions from the newbie:

1. Can someone tell me under what circumstances would you use a Sniper coil for the Ace 250?
2. Can someone also explain to me exactly what a probe is and how/when they are used?

A sniper coil will help separate trash from treasure. When you have a large coil and you pass over multiple targets (IE a coin and a pulltab) the detector will see both of them and not give a clear signal as to what is really in the ground making the decision to dig or not to dig much harder especially in a nice sodded park.

A probe enables you to locate the item detected more precisely before digging a ditch. They are made of brass and sometimes can be used to pop close coins out without any digging.
