Take a look at Forum: New York for information (i.e.,
clubs, etc.) directly related to New York. If a club close to you isn't listed - you might consider leaving a post requesting a club on that forum. Hope this helps...

Who said anything about likes?? I said a person should acknowledge when you leave them a post with information. I do not apologize for that.
Doesn't change my post, please do not attack members.

To answer your question, "Yes, there is a metal detecting club on Long Island."

It is called the Atlantic Treasure Club.

Click on this link to open their web page...

When you open the club's web page, click on "CONTACT".

You can then ask for an application or attend their next club meeting in August.

Most meetings are at the Wantagh Memorial Congregational Church.

Club Location:

1845 Wantagh Avenue
Wantagh, NY

The next club meeting is at a different location...

August 10th, 2022 at 7:30 pm
Place: Massapequa Public Library 40 Harbor Ln., Massapequa Park NY 11762

You'll have to forgive me for not including any details in my previous responses to your question. I'm often reminded by my wife that I go way beyond what I should when answering questions. I came home recently and found my wife had put a sign on my fly-tying desk that I didn't see right away. I'm pretty sure that her "sense of humor" had something to do with it!

That's what came up when I Googled it.
But I guess by suggesting it to the OP gets deleated.
(I guess there are multiple posts asking the same question-my suggestion was on another post)

I was informed that there are multiple posts asking the same question by the OP.
Same question was asked in several different forums. No posts by members with name of clubs have been deleted by mods, a member removed his post with name of a club.

Yes I fully understand that it wasn't deleted.
When I replied to this one it looked like it had.
Not knowing at that time there were multiple posts of the same query
I edited my post stating it wasn't.

It's hard sometimes when this thing happens-when the OP posts the same in many different sections.
So here's a perfect example-7 times the same type question.
No wonder we'z get confused

I understand, 3 of the 7 are in the same thread and the one from Feb 2022 is asking where are good places to hunt in New York, not about clubs. Your original post looked like you were saying your post or a post had been deleted naming club and I could not find any posts with names of clubs that were deleted, that is why I originally quoted your post.

It's all good.
I can understand why some post up the same query and they don't get a response so they try again in another section.
Yet a simple Google search would answer the query.
