If you have solar, let me know your experience.

Did you install the system yourself or have a company install?

I have been researching having a solar system installed at my home in Indiana for about a year. I have not made the final commitment yet but thinking of doing it sometime in 2022.

I installed a system on my old Alaskan camper. This was about 3 years ago. Fairly simple. Bought a 150watt panel, and a battery charger/monitor. Whole thing cost me about $250, with the material for the mount. My mount both angles, and rotates, so I can aim it in the fall and spring when the sun angle is low. Never had an issue with it, so far, and the batteries have never run all the way down. Much cheaper than buying and running a generator for extended prospecting trips.

I had solar professionally installed on our home.
Projected savings should pay back the cost in 5 to 6 years.
I thought (and still think) its a good investment.
Instead of triple digit bills, they are now in the teens.
