I really don’t have much a guess, trying to find anything dateable at this spot but I just keep coming up with mystery items. Any ideas?

Frame work for a curly comb/brush?

I,ve seen something like that,not exactly,mind you,on an old wood stove.Goes under the grate and when you shake it with the handle all the ashes fall through into a receptacle below.Wild guess.

I think you guys are right, I didn’t see an exact match but I saw many that were similar. Thanks for the quick Id.

Follow up a lot of the square ones appear to be older. Many were under civil war but that’s pushing the very early white history of the area, it was Indian country till 1860 ish any idea of an age range? Were the square ones replaced by the circular ones at any given time?

It looks a bit like it could have been a grill auto attachment and/or License Plate holder to me.
