Last week, fellow forum member uscgdavis and I hit up a permission in the city that we’d been itching to get at for a couple weeks. Well, that resulted in a BEAUTIFUL sterling silver crucifix and key date wheat cent (1914S) for uscgdavis and some wheats and keys for myself. Pretty decent site!
As we were leaving the property, a neighbor came out and asked us if we would detect his yard next door sometime. Of course, we happily agreed.
Fast forward a week, and we headed out there ready to kick up some dirt, and right away I hit a ‘52 canadian copper. Love those old Canadians. The house ended up not giving a ton of unique items to me, although uscgdavis pulled out a couple goodies and old toys.
Once we finished up the property, we moved on to some sidewalks nearby and started swinging. Well, not two minutes into the sidewalk strips, and I get a sharp and shallow 91/92 on the AT Pro. Hmmm, most of those turn out to be sprinkler heads, but this one sounded clean...
I called uscgdavis over and told him I might have a half or something larger, and we both about flipped out when this MASSIVE silver ring popped out about two inches down.
It’s heavy, and it’s 925
All in all, a fun day out swingin’!
Whoever wore this must have had giant hands, since this ring only fits on my pointer finger!
