"Meanwhile in the middle on absolutely nowhere, Mr. Waffles was playing Indiana Jones at a rarely seen archeological site in Arizona."

Most brutal climb I've ever done in a hike but the view was worth it. As I stood in the ruins of a buildings that's been on top of this mesa for nearly 1,000 years, I could see no less than 8 landmarks around me. Tom's Thumb, Horshoe Reservoir, verde river, Bartlett lake, weavers needle, and flat iron, white tanks, and 4 peaks. Not much was left at the ruins aside from some pottery, a metate, and a few low walls indicating where buildings and rooms once were. The tallest was about 5.5ft tall... but what a view. I've had my eye on this place for a while. Did some research and it paid off.

The last pic shows the incline that I climbed up and then back down. And for anyone concerned, no I not keep any pottery shards. I left them where I found them.

Beautiful view for sure. Thanks for the images.

Thank you for leaving the stuff or at least not self snitching. Would be a CFR violation if you were to remove anything off the USFS land.

Great views. I wonder how the NA's got the water needed to survive up there?

Forever view and defensive . Is there a water source ?

Really great adventure there!

Beautiful place!! Would be cool to know the history of the people that lived there.

The closest water source is about 5miles as the bird flies. I can't imagine how hard it would be to hike a clay vessel full of water through the desert and up a mountain. Lol

It's about 5mi to the nearest river. Not far but a lot farther than I would want to hike across the desert with a clay pot full of water. It would be a tough hike. Especially in the summer.

Awesome spot. Quite an incline , you earned it!!!

Thanks. The incline wasn't even the worst part. The worst part was that there was no path the the summit. It was punishing. I'm very glad I did it but I won't be returning anytime soon. Lol
