Great 4 hour hunt this afternoon! Located an old homesite 🧱 in the middle of a farm field. The search 👀 for the house 🏠 took about 1 hour. Signs of old scattered brick and loud sounding iron confirmed my arrival. Shortly after, I began finding old buttons. Approximately 10 buttons in all. So I was hopeful good things were still waiting to be found.

Ended up finding three silver coins from three different centuries. 1700’s, 1800’s, and early 1900’s. All of them definitely have plenty of wear and tear. The Seated dime and Carlos III 1/2 reale dates are mostly wiped off. The Walking Liberty half dollar is from 1918 with deep scratching.

Late 18th century King Carlos didn't fare too well, but Spanish silver is Spanish silver - and maybe signs of a secret pirate group operating in the area who buried some plundered loot nearby in a huge stash.
