Spike found at SW Florida beach

Spike found at SW Florida beach with my metal detector. Does anyone know if its old or what it might have come from?

Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
As it looks round & not square (cross-section) then not much over 100 years old. Not sure of its use though, could be anything.

Thanks, I had someone tell me it was really old and someone else said it was from some old beach stairs that washed away.

Looks like it could be some rebar.So I would think the person who suggested it came from some old stairs is probably correct.
