Just the one detecting day this weekend, but it was gorgeous and sunny, even took a layer of clothing off in the afternoon 😎 xx

So nice to be detecting on grass again after the stubble of recent weeks! A strange little disk … we don’t think it’s a coin as the reverse is completely blank and quite thick for a coin… but we have been wrong before 😆 musket balls, buttons, corset fastening loops, tiny flowered shaped pin, and other bits of which I have yet to be identified! Xx

In your third picture there is one of those lead slugs you have found so many of. I know there has been discussion about them but do not know whether you have identified them yet. I see what appear to be rifling marks on it, and that gave me a clue. The British Museum identifies it as a type of shot called "dumb-bell". Not sure what arms it was used in. See https://finds.org.uk/counties/findsrecordingguides/shot/

We havent got a confirmed id of them… we did think Capstan Shot or Bobbin shot, but also Crusader found lead weights that were similar… they vary in size and weight quite a lot… so really not sure whether the could be amo? But really appreciate you for checking for me, thank you xx

Way too big for a gun.
If they were anything like that I would have seen them before.
To me it points to some kind of local industry yet to be identified.
