The other day (while on downtime at work. I love my job!!) I did a little recon on an old sand trail in the New Jersey Pine Barrens. On an old map it shows a stage road. It's a very clean area in the middle of nowhere so when I found some sign I got excited. It was not what I was looking for but I'll take it. It appears to be a stagecoach stop from Civil War period. The Indianhead penny dates 1864 along with other period trinkets. The big iron in the picture is a part of a step to a stagecoach or wagon. I guess I'll have to follow the trail!

Nice job on relic detective work. Please be careful out there. The Jersey Devil may be about.
