Another good week. Although every week can't be like last week, over 1 silver a box average is fine with me.

I'd sure be happy with a 1+ silver box avg too. And congrats on your 4th Walker. That's great that of your 11 90% halves so far this year four are Walkers and one's a Ben.

Your doing great with both your half and nickel boxes so far in 2014, good luck the rest of the year!

Some more decent boxes with a better than one silver per box average again. Btw, is that a scratch or a crack on the Ben coin? Just curious, looks kind of interesting. Reminds me I have a Ben that I bought on ebay a while back that has a small scratch or crack on Bens forehead that kinda makes him look like Frankenstein lol.

Hope u can keep your nice box average going!

Thanks Silver. There is a large crack on that Franklin.

Keep you head up buddy, those skunks will turn into dream boxes. Maybe you can look into another bank for pick up. I would start to question that many skunks when others only miles away are hitting well this spring.

Its just a bad pallet... allllll of the half boxes are from the same damn pallet. Im 99% sure these are dunbar boxes. Im getting everyone's dumps. There are sooooo many marked coins. Ive found more buff boy coins this year than silvers... and ive been through over 130 boxes! Nuts! I have 3 pickup branches of the same bank and they all have the same code. Hopefully it ends soon!

More good boxes with silver in every box. And that's really good that nearly half the 90% you've found so far this year are Walkers and Bens. That Moroccan coin looks really wild too. Hope u can keep the silver streak going for a while longer. I got a small skunk streak going myself but I hope I have better luck with my 4 boxes next week.

those are some really nice boxes, it's better than the 10 boxes of halves I did this week, I only got 2 40% silvers. I hope your streak continues :)

Thanks everyone. I have a pretty simple system and lately it has been pretty productive.

To put it into perspective, I searched over 50k in halves last year and found 30 oz. I am already at 22 oz this year in only mid March. My goal was 40oz for the year and hopefully the silver streak continues.

What has been a surprise is the number of walkers and franklins lately. They are spread out and not just one good box either. I have found 1 here and there but averaging over 1 old silver a week.

Hope you all hit it big. There is still a ton of silver out there and constantly being added back in.

Happy hunting. Steven

Box #61: Halves - 2 40% (1968 D x 2) (Buffalo Boy)

Box #62: Halves - 2 40% (1967, 1968 D)

Box #63: Halves - 1 90%, 5 40% (1943 Walker, 1967 x 3, 1969 x 2) (1969 Ender)

Box #64: Halves - 3 90%, 2 40% (1935 D, 1942 Walkers, 1964, 1967 x 2) (2005, 1977 Clad Proofs) (Reverse Walker ender)

Knew it would be a good day when I scored my first ever teller tray silver half, 1964. Another amazing week with 3 Walkers. Total count 5-90% and 11-40% for over 3 more oz of silver. Walker ender as well.

That is an awesome week Steve! Oh man, I remember back in July, 2013 when all of the boxes were loaded with the dark orange paint stripes, I hated those so much that I marked over almost every one I got! ha. I hope your luck continues my friend :)

More great boxes. And its amazing how u keep finding so many Walkers. Now half your 90% halves ytd are Walkers and Bens. And that Walker ender is really cool. Still looking for my first Walker ender or Bender. I only found one 40% in my 4 boxes this week. Seems like my boxes tend to dry up in March for some reason....probably just a coincidence I guess. Hopefully I can find a little more silver before the end of the month. Hope u finish the month strong too.

Nice stuff you find! What about the more recent NIFC, do you find much of the 2002 - 2014 P&D halves?

I have found a few 2014 clad halves and lots of NIFC 2002-current. I never tracked them since they are almost always well circulated and not worth keeping.

Happy hunting,

Steven
