I posted this here several years ago when I initially found it. Still have not been able to identify what it is. Thought Id give another try.
Thanks for looking any ideas about it greatly appreciated ...would like to put this one to rest about the size of a quarter round , approx a 1/4 inch thick

Perhaps a personal stamp? 1/4” thick is not a coin, but there is clearly the image of a face on the first pic, the other side which I assume is the reverse doesn’t make much sense, other than it might be ridged like that so a type of glue might hold it more securely....as it’s being used as a stamp?? Don’t have any ideas past that....

Can you tell what it’s made of, or what it rings up as? A high conductor? I now agree the back is a continuation of the front theme in the regard it looks like hair. I don’t know about Indian artifacts, but have an idea of what a totem pole is. I haven’t heard the term “totem” as a stand alone. Can you elaborate?

I believe it came up as a high conductor... I can double check this later today. not sure of the metal its heavy 1/2 oz maybe brass or copper as far as totems they can be a sacred object or symbol
fyffytr1-Now that you said that i do also see a turban only the hair feature on the back doesn't seem to fit that

I'm going with not coin or token, so that leaves some kind of fantasy piece.

I don't know if it's just the lighting or not, but it looks a bit silvery it colour where it's been cleaned up. You said high conductor-put a piece of silver down and this piece see if you get the same readings. Strange find for sure, as it has a look to it that has some age. Park find?

It was found in a park... my son and I thought we saw a hint of silver also but I'm hesitant to try and clean further. Good idea about testing against a silver piece ....Ill try it today got a little busy yesterday and never got to it

My take.. the Front is her Face The back is the Back of her head (Hair)

Because of the Snakes, I'm thinking Madusa like NonsequiturI.

other then that I'd say Just a Toy. but an old toy.

all Cracker Jack Items say Cracker Jack so I think that is Out.
Maybe from a cereal Box or a game piece :dontknow:

Maybe even something like this

Its a little heavy for a "Box Prize" Toy makes sense but I've never seen a similar toy that I can think of ... Starting to look like it may remain a mystery LOL

Yeah, I found the same image when I was looking around. But, I noticed his Medusa almost has a Mona Lisa smile compared to all the others I've seen.....
