We went to our "home away from home" to look around the plowed fields and the scraped field... it had rained fairly hard the night before so we were excited to get out there.
Peggy found the first artifact in a plowed field... it just has to be a hammer stone of some sort! YOU guys can verify if we are right. I tried to photograph it close enough to show the worn areas in which it was used to hit things with... and to show where the original outer surface of the rock was. It looks like it was used quite a bit. IMHO...
Let me know if I am wrong... ok?
I found the second artifact on the hill of the scraped area.... (refer to previous post's pics) This was laying right on top... the rain must have cleaned it very well... we had walked that hill every time we go there. I think it is a hand ax or adz
? Again I tried to get a close up of the worn areas showing it was used to hit things with... Along with all my points from that scraped area, it appears to be broken.
YOU GUYS... let me know if I am wrong... This is all quite exciting to find these things!
