Super Rare Flask Yoooohoooo!!!!!!!!

Hello all treasure hunters. Glad to be back out playing in the dirt. Got a permission from a very nice guy on a small lot. Only one little section of the yard could possibly have a privy or two. Started to probe and found two within a minute. Decided on the one furthest away from where the back door would have been. Cleared some roots and large cement pieces. First to come out was a 1900-1910 tooled crown top local beers. Hoping for a bit older as we proceeded down.
Got to the 5 foot level and all of a sudden the dirt turned into wood ash and out popped a couple hinge mold meds. Good sign. Then a cryer appeared. A citron color wax seal fruit jar that was blown away into numerous pieces. Ugh. But still a great sign.
Onward we went and found the bottom with only shards to show. But finally along the back corner was a very nicely embossed Warners Safe Cure from Rochester. Pretty common but when we find them it usually means good finds and old enough to keep our hopes up.
Was almost done but had one more area at the bottom to finish up and I scraped my small shovel at the back and boom I saw it. A flask laying flat against the wall. I saw that it was embossed and told Don to grab my phone to take same pics. He was just as anxious as me to pull it out to see if it was whole and not broke. So after a couple insitu pics I slowly pulled it out to the light. Cleaned off the face and saw that it was a local flask from Niles Michigan. I was shaking! Couldn’t believe it really. I knew we had something special. We rarely find any flasks with embossing. And to be a fairly close local one was simply fantastic. It turned out to be a Schneewind & Reinhold Grocer & Liquor flask from Niles. In a golden honey amber color. Wow. Just wow. We salivated over the bottle for a bit and decided we were strong enough to fill the whole back in. Renewed energy to say the least. We didn’t find any other whole bottles in the pit but that was fine. At least they left the flask whole with absolutely no damage. Unreal for an 1880 local gem. The Michigan collectors and diggers called it The Famous Flask from Niles. Yoooohoooo!!!!! Enjoy the pictures and be safe out there everyone! Jgas

we needed a good bottle find here...been wondering when you would pull a good one to share. For a bottle that looked like it had sickness, it sure cleaned up great...man, its spotless

Thanks for all the replies everyone. I specked the last name wrong in the original post as Reinhold. It’s actually Reinhard. With more research I found they had a store in the early 1870s. So a flask thats about 150 years old. Still in shock over it. The pics that look pristine is actually a bit wet. It does have some sickness but it will look like the pics after a light tumble. The soil we dig in sometimes will produce really sparkling glass. And then sometimes some sickness. Either way for this one we don’t mind. It’s one of our best finds ever.
