I had a great test run on a different rock and with great results. View attachment 2048272
Well I've ran in to a different looking type of rock today that looks like lava rock. It's very dark green and it's filled with a black surty mineral. I melted it down and it only collects on the outside of a poured bar. I'm sure I'll figure it out but what do you think? I used only borax to get it thin enough to pour. It tests green with the silver test acid . IMG_20220929_213013254.jpg IMG_20220929_212915054.jpg

Well it's getting better and better and with some more fine tuning it looks good.

Well this is a iron ore that produces hermilite! This is found in the rock with blackish blimish look. I'm looking at a different ore that's blue and grey in carmal looking rock now! I'm going to test some samples of this one to see what it looks like. This Swift thing is all about understanding of all rocks in the area and pass this to someone that might use it one day!

This works great for us to find because we can make a lot of native jewelry with it. We learn and adapt as we go through life. I might even try to make some glass art as well. IMG_20221001_114203539.jpg

There is a old saying about iron and gold but I cannot recall it at the moment. I wouldn't be surprised if much of the shiny results are lead for the most part.

I'm moving my focus on the quartz vein that outcrops on the clift where the shaft goes straight down about eight foot. The quartz is on the second ledge and this will be very interesting and I can't wait. It's ironic that the clift is exactly one mile from the hanging rock park. This area is a great place to explore. Most metals in elemental form will conduct electricity (have resistivity or ohms) when measured with a meter. This includes iron, aluminum, tin and lead, silver, copper and gold...magnesium ect. A ohm test will only tell you you have metals...not really determine which metal.

This is a very fine metal that's embedded in the green rock that's hard as steel to break. It makes some nice art work! IMG_20221010_134025042.jpg

When will you have the ore scientifically tested for the presence of silver?
