Replaced my 3/8" hole screen with a 3/16" hole screen to help facilitate my transition to an electric 2200gph bilge (7.5 Ah) pump, using a 12 volt, 60Ah lithium battery. The battery only weighs in at 15 lbs. I have used punch plate in the past, and to prevent too many stones getting caught, I just periodically give the screen a quick scrub with a tough bristle brush. Can't wit to try it out and make some tweaks if needed.

Nice rig I would change the angle of the hose and valve, so the little pump doesn't have to lift the water so high.

John I used the stainless steel 3/16 inch punch plate exclusively on my (2 /3/ 4 and a 5 inch subbie that I was building when I finally had to throw the towel in ) dredges .Most of the gold I recovered was small to begin with and nuggets were almost non - existent where I dredged in the past !
