Tesoro Tejon Question

Tesoro Silver U-Max, and just ordered a new Tesoro Tejon today, 2/16/21

I’ve been searching for an answer to my question and best I can tell, the only difference is the color, I thought maybe one was an earlier version or maybe had been upgraded but think the only difference is color, thanks anyway

The black model comes with a bigger coil. No biggy, enjoy your Tejon!

Or, I guess I should have said came because you cant buy the black model anymore.

Black or gray; same detector. I prefer the concentric coil (comes on the gray) in most places, but the DD coil is somewhat less susceptible to hot rocks - though they’re easy to ID when toggling into all metal using the concentric. The DD also covers more ground per swing - but at the expense of slightly less depth and worse discrimination. Both coils have their place and both still make good all-rounders. Take your pick.. ^_^
