Lesche Digging Tool is made is the USA. I haven't seen the Deteknix in person yet for comparison.

Thanks for your concerns. The sizes of the blade and the handles are the same with Lesche. The blade is made of 403 stainless steel with heat treatment reaching the strength as hard as professional knives.

From the looks of the Diamond Digger compared to the Lesche, the DD seems to have a honed edge, slightly wider blade and a finer point on the blade. One thing I really like is the rubber handle design. The DDs handle design would appear to need less gripping to hold the blade from turning in your hand when you have gloves on. Sometimes I have to put my thumb on the hilt of my Lesche.to get a better grasp as I angle the blade to make a plug.

I'm all for anyone taking a design and improving on it.

Have any of yall took the plunge and tried this digger yet? I can't find much review for this digger, mostly unboxing videos and such. I wonder if it will hold up a few years and I wonder if it will cut as nice a plug as a Lesche. Can it handle prying a big ole plug out of the ground without bending? If it will, then I may have to get one.
Thanks,
Rickey

You could definitely hear her struggle a bit with the Deteknix over the Lesche. I do like the grip looks on the Det better but wonder if in time it will be as followed as the Les? I would be willing to try a Det out.

Yes, I have been using it now since November 1st, and it is as good or better than the Lesche. Cuts through roots very well, and the plugs are smooth and clean. A strong tool that you can put some weight on and pry if you need to. Try it!

So far I like mine a lot! There is a lot of rock fill in my area I have not used it on yet though so we will see how it holds up.

I got a Diamond Digger today and got to cut a few plugs with it. I was able to cut real neat plugs without a lot of effort and didn't have any problem with prying the plug out. It does fairly decent in the amount of dirt that it will haul out of the bottom of the hole. I cut right through a root a little bigger than a pencil with very little effort. The grip on the handle is excellent.and has a good feel to it. I am right handed but I have a tendency to cut a plug in a clockwise direction, so I got the serrations on the left side but even cutting with the non serrated side and going counterclock was easy and neat. It seems to be stout built but as far as answering the question of, "Will it last a long time", we'll just have to see. I am sure some are wondering how it compares to the Lesche digger. I don't know; I don't have the Lesche digger but do have the Lesche Samson which is nice. There is not much difference in price between the Diamond Digger and the Lesche, just a few dollars. So far I am really liking the Diamond Digger.

Hi,
I got this digger for Christmas. I have had a Lesche for over 6 years, still have it and never had any problems. Its getting dull so I started using this one I liked this digger for the short time i have used it, Handle feels good and cuts nice. was not expecting this to happen though.

Was using it today no more stress than normal and it snapped.

Anyone know if they come with a warranty. I can't find anything about a warranty and called the # on the box. The girl was very nice but asked to call back next week.
