Today we noticed that they had finally ploughed the edge of the field on Shot-Gun Alley. It was not quite a 3 hour job to grid it all, but once again no Roman Silver, just 10 scrappies. It's odd that we have had zero from such a deep plough.:icon_scratch:
After lunch we went back to ''The Hill'' Mega Grid and after 4 hours 15 mins total hunt we cut it short because the defrosted ground was so sticky we might injure our bad knees.
Silver Streak died, but it was way over due...

10 Scrappies
2 17th C Buttons
Broken Spec Buckle
Roman Ring Bezel
13th C Annular Brooch Pin

Certainly not a wash out type of hunt by any means.

Sometimes the deep plowed are great-sometimes they produce a lemon.
The next time it might have the turn and it renews brings the alive again.
