One of the colder days this year but stayed dry & the surface was not sticky due to recent wind.
According to our previous GPSed map we were going into a quiet zone, but thankfully the deep plough did its job & brought up lots of goodies.

18th C Pewter Navy Button
Fossil Shell
2 Jettons
2 Few bits of Saxon mystery pieces
Saxon Clothes Fastener
Mystery Medieval Lead piece with a Cross
2 Saxon 6th C Brooches
2 La Tene (Celtic) Brooches
Roman Fibula (Brooch 1st C AD)
Ancient Bronze Awl
Our Best Roman Amphora Strap-end (Cru'dad find)
Circa 1750s Austrian Netherlands Schelling of Maria Theresa (A first and a Scarce Coin)

"Assortment" is the right word, in this area any period could appear -
Neolithic, Bronze Age, Iron Age, Roman, Early Saxon, Middle Saxon, Late Saxon/Viking, Medieval, Tudor, Post-Medieval!

I've been amazed at your finds for years. Your collection of the things you've dug out of those fields must be quite a sight.

I've been reading your posts for years and I'm amazed at the numerous awesome finds you are digging out of those fields. The collection you have removed from the ground after all those hunts over many years must be overwhelming!
I'm going to Mindenhall AFB in England, It's near Cambridge. I'll be going next year to visit a family member who is stationed there.
I will be bringing my metal detector!

Good area. Get them to find a nearby farmer to give permission.
