The King?

So, I'm in my what I call my "honey hole", so far I've uncovered 5 old foundations. Everyday is a new day & I'm finding items I have no clue about. For example, I thought this might be some sort of "cuff link"? Now I'm clueless. I was able to gently clean it, I was thrilled it didn't fall apart & the hinges actually work. Finally a name "The King 20th Century". Can anyone tell me what this is or was? Thank you so much.

I haven't a clue but someone on Tnet will... interesting find...if possible, you may need clearer photos so it can be identified...

Yes, it is a cufflink. There are a number of examples kicking around, but not with much detail on who exactly made them:

Presumably "20th Century" is or was a company and "The King" was their brand for this line.

Hello B2B. It appears to be a sprinkler pendant.

Nope, it's a cufflink as correctly said by the sellers in the links I posted.

The manufacturer was in England. Here's a pair in a different style on its original sales card from "20th Century". In this case the product line is "The Embassy" rather than "The King". There were other lines too, with similarly pretentious names.

When I first saw it my first thought was a gear from a can-opener. However, I have to bow to the king of knowledge, Re-Coat, and accept his identification! Thanks, Red-Coat!

Me too. Wasn't that sure on this one, so learning again, as usual.

I found something like that with the same words earlier last year at an early 1900s homesite. Couldn't find anything on it at the time and just figured it was a collar stud.

From everything the nice folks here have said & shown me, perhaps you also have a cufflink? I found out today it's (what I have) is infact a cufflink. My mission now is to hopefully find the other one. 🤣😅
I believe in miracles, so you never know. Thank you so much for sharing yours with me. 🤗
