12V71N Burn Rate x 2

1200 RPM = 12 GPH
1300 RPM = 14 GPH
1400 RPM = 16 GPH
1500 RPM = 18 GPH
1600 RPM = 19 GPH
1700 RPM = 24 GPH
1800 RPM = 28 GPH
1900 RPM = 32 GPH
2000 RPM = 36 GPH
2100 RPM = 42 GPH
2200 RPM = 48 GPH
2300 RPM = 56 GPH

It will cost $7750.00 to get its tank filled. :laughing7:
Those were factory specs.
Real specs what folks burn-which is double the fuel.

"I posted a rpm/speed chart a few years ago, you should be able to search it. In short, I burn about 22 gallons/hour at 1100 rpm (11 knots), 60-ish at 1800 rpm (17-18 knots), and 100 @ WOT (25-26 knots)
All fuel burn rates are guesses based on the factory propeller load chart."

Thanks Sir Pepper, but heading out the door to wildlife area for a walk about. Good time of day for deer and lots of little ones now.
Watch out for chiggers.... I've heard about them.

Yeh.... Plus I don't like the price! If I sell my house and property I wat to buy a smaller house AND a yaht.... and still have money left over. Can an American get a contractors license in the bahamas? :dontknow:
We looked at a 60' Real Ship in Jupiter Fl in 2007/8
It was for live a board type living
Did the engine survey, boat survey, sea trials and that was a $10K bill alone.
Kind of glad that we didn't-let me rephrase that-glad we came to our senses.

That's a good idea... Buy it in Florida! Fly in! I have a client I built a home for.... He has a sea plane... hmmm
Think there's a saying.
Buy a big enough yacht your comfortable in, not the biggest one you can afford.
Something like that.

There's lots of dock boats. (They very seldom leave them)

I have lived on commercial fishing boats... Only a few days at a time. Yacht would have to be big enough to live on, and fast enough... in case. If have a boat registered in Florida, can I keep my weapons in the Bahamas? area......

Big enough to live on? I don't like the fact of it being a 1979
Big enough to hit the pacific and hit the Bahamas?

I worked on that same boat many years ago.....I had a day where I caught 5 out of 7 blue marlin in a morning on that boat !! We came in at 1 pm, and never looked back.....the rest of the boats came in at 4pm......we were sitting in beach chairs on the dock with drinks in our hands !! 2 days later they gave us all the trophies and prize money !! Great memories on that boat....what a battleship !! We won the tournament, got the trophies, and money, and I ended up with the hot chic.....wow I love that old boat !!

Morning Bart
I guess what you're saying is that' it's better to work/play on the boats than owning/paying for the boat.

Kinda bummed out.
Sitting outside since twilight this morning enjoying the only quiet time along the highway.
Half hour ago, Semi coming by and I hear a thunk.
Poor turkey buzzard was having breakfast on a road kill squirrel.
He picked the wrong time to fly off.
Morning Zakon
I'm thinking there might be some good meat still on that bird for a meal or 2.
Disclaimer-I have never ate a Buzzard before.

Years ago we had a 20 Ft. Cobia bow rider with a 150 Black Max Merc. outboard. That combo (on full throttle) would burn a full tank (20 Gals.) in 1 hour. Great boat,We had that thing on the Hudson from NYC to Albany many times. And lake George & every lake in the area.Towed it with a Oldsmobile 79 Toronado . Same year & color as this one & the boat color matched the car:headbang: :)
