Live bait (minnows) are getting impossible to buy here so....I went to the bait shop and he's all sold out of cast nets:icon_scratch: . He only had one left (a small 4 footer) ...See 2:28 into this video, it should be big enough :).:hello:

oh yes...a 4 footer is easy on the throw....nice and light for multiple throws..
hopefully, it has actual lead weights?
(That video, that net does not have lead weight)

The ones with other weights sink more slowly, and with a small diameter...the fish can escape easier, especially in deeper waters...
So, small diameter, non-lead...shallow waters only, and for smaller fish only...a larger fish can lift the weight (if not lead)

personally, I have never seen a cast net with small enough mesh to catch minnows...

Good luck

Put a new set of handles on the tiller.
Trying to decide on colors for the handles.
Leave the iron rustic, or paint.
Let the artistic/restoration pirates throw some suggestions forward.

I joke around a lot... but on a serious note...
The new data is out... and this is not a "political" thing... this is a SOCIAL thing...

Please... each of us... take steps... just small moments in your day to make attempts to....

1. Use less water... the tap does not have to be full blast to work when washing hands or dishes or showers.
2. Stop needless trips in cars.... try and do more with one stone.
3,. reduce air conditioning use whenever possible.
4. choose products or services that have an environmental consciousness. (recycle)
5............... make your own list from here on out.... think about it.

In other words...
Don't be selfish.
Think of others to follow... the children who must live here after we are gone.
Believe that small trivial things are not so trivial and will make a huge difference over time.

Learn to respect our Earth.... its beyond time... AND... its empirical fact.

Thank you my TreausreNet friends.

Yer ARC fully agree-we all need to make our footprints a tad smaller.
Just about every sector there are huge problems.
" The average Canadian buys 70 articles of clothing a year!" :BangHead:
So if we bought 20-does that make someone else out there buying 120?

This is brilliant move to make the world less complicated and a step in the right direction. :headbang::occasion14::hello2:

"Every new smartphone, tablet, camera and handheld games console sold in the European Union will have to use a standard USB-C charger, should a new proposal designed to slash e-waste become law.

The European Commission says the rules would make charging more convenient and reduce the environmental footprint of producing and disposing of chargers. Some 11,000 tonnes of this is ditched annually in the EU, it claims."

This should be a world wide event-so simple-its stupid not to implement this policy/regulation.

People are consumed with consuming.
There are the things people need... and then there are the things people want.
Its the want that fuels the current demand madness.
We all want "more"... and this fuels the use of more.
We must learn to live on the fine line that divides the two.

DETECT WITH RESPECT - HAVE PERMISSION - FILL HOLES - DISPOSE OF TRASH.
Geez ARC if everyone was to just do those last 3 words imagine how things would look around the place.
Basically it comes down to a pig is cleaner that a human in many respects.

"5.6 trillion cigarettes that are made with these filters each year, almost two-thirds are dumped irresponsibly."

Had a guy throw his butt on the ground at my shop a while back. "Pick it up"
No thought what so ever-just toss what ever in the hand out the window or drop it on the ground. Pigs are cleaner...

I've stopped calling folks pigs when I see them tossing trash-it's being down right disrespectful to pigs.
