ARC,
Well traditionally the pierogis would be washed down with vodka so you'll have to skip the rum tonight....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7: Enjoy and hope you and the missus are bouncing back from the virus.
Thanks Bill... we are slowly recouping... She boiled them then tossed in sauté pan with some butter... smashed pea paste on top.

They were good... and gone, :)

Rookster has clarified a bit....although he has been in a tight spot, he says he's made great strides forward....he is more worried about not being home to help his queen in her own struggle with the virus.....she has just tested positive also.....sending all the positive energy I can towards those 2. My own struggle continues also, seems I have alot more congestion than before, but I'm able to clear it ok, and have felt strong with my breathing, without any problems. Im tiring of being alone, and my mood has been foul toward everyone, and everything. Ive buried myself in a deep deep cleaning of my home....I've stripped the bathroom, and was shocked to realize just how dated and used it really is. After walking through the aftermath of my neighbor and friend bobs house, I made a conscious decision to get rid of all cheap worthless Chinese crap that piles in every drawer. I have made tremendous progress, but find myself bogged down and overwhelmed at the current moment. I may try and sneak out to a beach or 2 and catch some sun and air !! I cannot sit here any longer.
Happy to hear about rookster, not that he,s sick but that he,s still amongst us.Bart,I,ve found that when you,re doing a task like you,re attempting, just take it one thing at a time.pick a drawer and clean that one without worry about how many are left. Here,s wishing your situation gets better soon.

Jim, You're early thought Friday was pizza night.
The Mrs declared it pizza night as she had a stressful day.
I'm kind of worried her B/P was way up when she saw the DR. (White coat syndrome)
I think she's turning into hypochondriac, being running to the Dr like that.
First visit in 9.5 yrs-well maybe I'll cut her slack.:laughing7:

Jim, BP comes with age for a lot of us unfortunately including me. I'm on meds but I stopped checking the bp on the machine it just stresses you out for nothing. And yes I've got the white coat syndrome thing also. Just tell her to lighten up or in the words of Jim Morrison "you won't get out alive".

Oh I think she'll be fine, same age as you Bill as she was doing the same type of paperwork at the bank.
She doesn't even take a baby aspirin.
I'm going with the white coat syndrome.
I have experienced it on a visit to a specialist. They'll usually ask me, what it is, then take it again a little later. It always has dropped so they know it's the environment that causes it.
There you go "body warming" 🤣

Jim, Well I sent them a secure message internally with the case number, etc....we'll see what kind of response I get.
Well, Bill? I can save you some time. Just give me the case # and your pword...maybe your pin too. And I'll look into it for you. :angel12:

Not saying this rifle is related.
In looking for what cartridge the Baden military was using I came across it.
Paper cartridges were in use long before , or at least prerolled rounds to speed up muzzle loading. If my wild guessing is close , your pouch's attendant rifle may have been of the era just before brass cartridges. Not that continued use of the pouch could not have been adapted.

This rifle had the "needle" fire method of ignition. And was a breech loader. Competitive "modern" at the time design that caught the attention of French and German builds to follow. And , led evolution of builds towards the Mauser.....

Thank you so much for the info RC, very interesting stuff.
