John, you are making me hungry.
I don't have any protein on hand other than peanut butter 😥

Dean, I seen a truck that is perfect for you.
It has a custom RC emblem in the grill.

What's with men and trucks and train horns ?
Tis better to have some protein than no protein lol. Don't worry I made myself hungry looking at the prime rib. I haven't ate yet so got myself with that one too.

Well hope everyone is having a good weekend.
We had our first restaurant meal in 2 1/2 yrs.
33rd anniversary so we went and had a pizza last night.
Got the 17.5lb turkey roasting at the moment.
If it's not done we'll survive on left over pizza, salad, and soup.
Mowed the berry patch this morning.
Put a shear pin in the bush hog.
I'm thinking maybe I should sharpen the blades up a tad.
Then again the grass was nearly 2ft high.
Need to trim a maple branch that's bugging the Mrs.
Time for the pole saw.

This cartridge box plate was dug up on Culps Hill by Ken Bream, a local Gettysburg relic hunter in the 1980s. Even though Culps Hill was one of the most fought over points on the entire Gettysburg battlefield, Culps Hill wasn't a protected part of the park until recently.

Culps hill was a hell on earth for those who fought there. As one Union soldier remembered, "The whole hillside seemed enveloped in a blaze. Minnie balls pattered upon the breastworks like hailstones on a housetop. Solid shot went crashing through the woods, adding the danger from falling limbs of trees to that from erratic fragments of exploding shells. The whole hill was covered with the smoke and smell of powder. No enemy could be seen. To expose oneself above the breastworks was certain death."

It is estimated that over 1/5th of all ammo shot during the battle of Gettysburg, over 1,000,000 rounds, was fired at Culps Hill.

This bullet here was picked up days after the battle, and subsequently found itself in the collection of Emily Rosensteel, wife of Gettysburg Museum founder George Rosensteel. This particular bullet was found at the "High Water Mark", a place where Picketts Charge climaxed at the Stone Wall. The bullet is fired, and has weird impact markings. It hit something soft.

Find a school of shad? Find a Striper!!:headbang: They are hitting the rivers!

We have stripers like that in the Lower Arkansas River.Reproducing population. In the evenings you can wheel out on a sandbar and watch for a school to herd Shad into shallow water. When you see them start to break the surface, throw out any spoon type lure and the fight,s on. If they sound, just hang around and they,ll do it again. You can catch them until you get tired of it. Usually around 5 to 12 pounds.I use a Sidewinder on 10 lb.test and a 7 foot med.action spinning rod.Great fun.Always release all but 1 or 2 of the smaller ones. There,s always a few White Bass and hybrids hanging around too and occaisonally a nice Largemouth under the school.

There,s bigger ones,up to 30 pounds or so,but you can,t hold them on light tackle.I agree on the beast part!Nice fish! I really don,t know how big they are here in the river, nobody fishes for the big ones intentionally and if hooked while bass fishing you just can,t stop them.50 pounders are not uncommon in Lake Ouachita and Lake Dardanelle.Arkansas state record is 64 pounds 8 ounces I believe. Caught in the White River below Beaver Dam.Got so big eating the Rainbow Trout they stock there.
