You have a plethora of information on the Smokies.
Since the casino came in over at Cherokee, Newfound Gap should rightfully be called Losers Gap now.
I was a preteen kid being rushed along when in the Smokies. Like so many other places , a proper tangible sampling by bare feet on ground wouldn't be had.

There was enough snow that day to toss snowballs, while the ground was bare recently back home around Easter.
But I can still recall the gloomy view . And the particular sight/ site wanting exploration.
Doubt all of it could or would be covered thoroughly enough in a lifetime.
My kind of place in younger years.
Not Newfound Gap as much as less trammeled areas. But the Newfound picture captures a tiny bit of the come hither allure beckoning seekers of will-o the wisps and secret places. Ridge runners or gully trotters all.
Not all of whom return. Some by choice.

Have not been too Smokies in several years. Way to crowded and polluted with exhaust and noise. I like the less traveled places. The Smokies are getting loved to death.

Appalachia.
Tromped on it.
Timbered it.
Dug in it's bones.
Took an eraser to those who made thier lives there. And erased their signs for the most part. To make it a "park".
Traded it's resources for money. Then made money from folks just to look at it.

25 million folks living on and along her spine and ribs . Maybe more. Maybe a few out of them all that actually feel her.
Visitors welcome. Bring your money!

I have a Melungeon bump. Maybe I could claim a site by squatters right in the mountains. But then , it's probably neanderthal in origin.
Besides ; I wouldn't want to be chased with a giant eraser...

Having the eyes dilated is a very eye opening experience.
Forgot my sunglasses and need the Mrs to drive.
Good thing as I prefer not to even look at anything.
So after another bunch of testing they have determined that everything is OK with the eyes.
Just eye drops 4x a day for a moisturizer.
The Mrs asked what about this or that?
:dontknow:I guess it's not a problem.
Darn it's bright outside. 🤣

Remember to share with your Tnet pirate crew, Bart. I know it is pretty tough words, but remember Cap'n Arc's words to selfish pirates. "A selfish pirate is a poo poo head pirate". Tough words from a tough Cap'n.
Hmmm... must have been really drunk... for i dont remember that one ... heh

Cap'n, whether you are drunk or sober, we all follow your orders without question. As long as they do not cause us displeasure or make us uncomfortable. Otherwise we are very loyal.

I remembers you twas snatching a bottle o rum out of me hands when ye spoke dem words.
Tis greed, Lady WD, pure greed. The Cap'n fears that if Bart realizes he called him a poo poo headed pirate that Bart will not cut him in on the treasure like the rest of us. Either that or the rum has killed most of his brain cells.

Maybe you've seen it, maybe not. Discovered by satellite, 6 miles off the coast of Calif. in 2,000 Ft. of water
What ya think ? :icon_scratch:
Its also in the same area the Navy F-18 pilots filmed the UFO s (the tic tac) in 2004 & 2015
