Good that they're still living.
Is it the picture quality or is the water getting murky?
I'm replacing 1/4 the volume with lake water everyday. The water has a lot of' heavy rain runoff' from yesterdays storms.

Another fantastic after work swim....got all the sweat off and feel refreshed after sweating all day. And taking home another gold band....woooo hoooo !! Had my equinox fly out of my truck at 50 mph.....it made a beautiful landing in the middle of afternoon rush hour traffic. Just like a fighter jet touching down perfectly. It touched down coil first, and then arm cuff.....nothing else touched the pavement !! It slid for 60 feet in the middle of U.S.1 !! I slammed on the breaks and jump out in a sprint......I ran back 100 yards, waving and screaming. 4 cars just missed running it over !! I figured it was done anyway from the impact.....I found some small scratches on the arm cuff !! Thats it !! Turned on and worked fine underwater for 2 hours !!
Sorry....my detector is important to me. But.....not worth risking my life!!! What will all those gold rings do for you? If you wind up in "the box"?!

You did well-and both you and the machine live on for another adventure.
(Personally I would of done the same.)
A1 is busy, but compared to the express lanes of 401-slow highway

Lost a few boxes of my personals out of the truck once.
Buddy slammed on the brakes, pulled over to the guard rail.
We both jumped out retrieving stuff
Cars/trucks wizzing past at 75-80mph
Lived to tell the story.

For my detector I would done the same and more. :headbang:

Well.....im not gonna just keep driving and let it go.....I had to stop and try to get it, and I probably would have stopped to clean it up even if it had been run over all 4 times. I was also concerned about someone trying to avoid it at the last second and causing a crash.....and even just damaging another person's vehicle. I stayed on the shoulder until the coast was clear, and I could dart out and retrieve it. I was 100% sure it would never work again.....it was a very graceful landing that I just managed to see in the rearview.....it was still sliding along when I came to a stop. The coil cover and arm cuff were the only thing in contact with asphalt. I thought that the second I submerged it...it would flood. What a machine this one has been.....2 pillar dollars in the 20,000 + range, a gold coin worth 6,000, and a lot of gold jewelry and gemstones. This machine has produced the most treasure of all the machines combined.....I might have to give it a name !!

Crazy radar weather report.

Yesterday calling 90% rain.
Got a popcorn shower.
Nothing on radar, says cloudy.
And it's pi$$ing outside.
I believe that we have a new radar system to better track the systems.
I think it's not working well as it seems 180 degrees from what they claim.

The last disaster I had, I drove off with the machine leaning against my tailgate.....I got 15miles in stop and go traffic......I had to turn around and see if it was still laying in the parking lot of a state park (very busy). It took about 40 mins to get back to it. I could not believe that no one had taken it......it was just sitting there with everyone walking around it like they couldn't see it.....my luck is strong....even when its bad !!

Apparently my cousin found a body metal detecting.....not sure if he was there or not, but its his hunting buddies I think.....I was detecting the same area a couple years ago with him on vacation.

I've not done that yet.
Pulling away I heard something scraping along the truck once.
Stopped and it was the detector laying there.
Heart jumped, stomach churned, and it was ok.
Since that day it gets laid on the backseat and a visual mental ✔️ off before leaving.
The shovel is another story, but it can take a beating.
