Great morning you everyone. Hope everyone whom is from Florida is okay thinking of you all. Sad to see we lost another member and someone that always had interesting posts and seemed to be a genuinely good person. Hard part of being one of the younger members on here over the years seen lots of people move on in life. Guess it's one of those things where you can't take anything for granted. One of the reasons though I suck at being social I truly appreciate everyone on this thread and I'm thankful the cap made it.

Bill from Lachine Passing

I just wanted to let everyone know, that ‘Bill from Lachine’ passed away on Sunday Sept. 25. I know he had a lot of friends on this forum... I just thought you all should know.

Bill and I shared a thousand moments online that I took for granted, mainly because I thought there would be a thousand more. I’m going to miss his sense of humour, his creative cooking skills, his online friendship and support the most.

Well dang it Uncle Bill.

I hadn't been on the Canadian forum noting his usual presence for too long.
Had no idea he needed cheering for of late.

Rest well Uncle. You're missed and well remembered.
Maybe I'll try what we discussed in private last , in time.

Tonight we will be having a bowl of chili with a side salad.

I browned one pound of ground beef with half of a finely chopped vidalia onion.
I placed that in a large pot with 2 - 15.5 ounce cans of chili beans with chili sauce (okay I am a cheater), 2 cups of tomato sauce ( a product from last year’s garden) and chili powder to taste.

Nothing fancy. Good on a chilly evening, though (pun intended).

Bill always let us know what he was whooping up for supper. He would also post videos of different recipes. He also was a gardener and he was a great influence on me and maybe others who read the thread. He will be fondly remembered. 🥲

Well today was the scrap delivery day.
Did better than the mental calculations were doing.
Always a nice kicker to get more-than less.
Weird way of running a yard though.
Win in some categories loose in others.
It's kind of a wash in the end.
So I have been cleaning this up for a few weeks now.

To this load this morning:
Trailer, the back of the truck, backseat.
Ran out of room.

So it was easier to handle at the end of the day.

Top total was for the steel.
The bottom was for everything else.
I said at the beginning I saw a new detector. :headbang:
$5654.00 will include a dinner out.:hello2::hello2:
To be continued as there's a Monel tank, and misc. to be sorted.

Man o man.....going down to hunt pirate gold on a very torn up beach in the lower keys....my new hunting partner has found gold here, and now its scraped to bare rock. She has also managed to secure permission on federal land for us to hunt (cultural artifacts) for the state of florida. That will go down on the weekend.....im full bore treasure hunting right now starting tomorrow....I expect a tremendous hall of coins and artifacts tomorrow.

Thanks for the compliment.
Sometimes one gets a reward for recycling.
I could use three sheets of steel. You might be too far away to be ready by tomorrow morning though...
One for the hunting blind floor , and two walls..
For the stove install tomorrow , after ramp transition at the bottom gets figured out.

Ever have one of those headaches attached to your stomach and light and smells get to being a bit much? Drugs didn't seem to phase it. Just annoyed stomach more.

I fired up the stove /heater for the blind to burn off paint and oil out on the driveway and got a snootful a couple times. Blahh.
Didn't puke but might have felt better if I had. Could smell it on or in me for an hour. Head just a spinning.
So a run to grab misc. stuff like a couple cinder blocks , (how is it I don't have any laying around. Or sheet steel? I do have some signs I was going to post..) and coffee.
And on the way ran over a squished skunk.
Yep. skunk stanky juice and fat and grease all over a wheel well and splattered up one running board. Good acrid fresh up close skunk . Felt like I drank a gallon of booze the night before after that . Maybe two.
Lumberyard closes at 5. Got there about 4:50. Stuff payed for , and loaded at 4:59.

I know. I got it darned good compared to others.
I wake up with another bell ringer though I'm going to try a turban of toilet paper. Maybe over my nose eyes and ears!
