Morning RC
Mornin P.J..
Cold night. Around 20 F. maybe.
Probably hit the blind this afternoon.

A recent visit I spotted the corner (?) of an old foundation in a field quite a ways from an old house.
Barn maybe? Older homestead structure?
Eighteen hundreds I'd guess.
Need to re-spot it and note which house.
Might be worth a spring visit to ask permission.

Same to you Pepper, hope your day is going well
Eating a pot of hot oatmeal mixture.
Cooking down some strawberries for jam.
Basically ready to start thinking of going out to do something.
But with the slight breeze, feels like the low-mid 20's outside.

Always good to have some homemade jams those are always the best. Just been raining nonstop here the last couple of days. Been bored to death but the Rian is quite welcomed.

I look hard in the late fall, early spring for the foundations.

We make most of them on a low simmer.
No sugars
Fruit is sweet on its own.
Stewed strawberries over pancakes 🥞 😋 😍
Even a dab of whip cream.

Same to you hope you have a good day. May you find some awesome treasures. Since I don't have access to cool areas like that I love seeing the history and cool things you find.
Yes pardon my pirate rudeness....good morning John, RC,.....and all the crew.

Good Morning RC
Thanks again for the windy/rainy day
Picked up a porcelain topped table this morning from an auction
Pretty good shape-though the staining is in the top.
Have you cleaned white porcelain before?
Water did a tad, hand sanitizer 80% a very little tad so I'm at the :dontknow:stage.
Just going in the summer kitchen.
Though for $26 I can live with the staining-but I will hear it in the ear-stained :BangHead::laughing7:

What would you do if.......... You found a quarts/gold specimen about 4" long 3" high and very heavy (with visible gold on the outside ) ? ...............
Crush & pan it ?...... Or not ?

Well we've had some real high winds over the past week.
So I headed out for a bit of sugar bush trail looking for downed tree limbs.
On the back section of the property I could see light shining up an Ash tree.
So I walked over an inspected the weird marks.
Ah I see our Pileated Woodpeckers have had some good feeding our the past few days.
More fire wood.

Depends how much is visible....maybe more of the visible can be exposed and its speciman value is greater ?? Your decision boss !!
