Today we headed to the old court house… this was in use up to around 1950. Never have we dug so much lead…. And you know we dig a lot! Most of it was ugly lead, the blobby stuff, but we got a nice range of stuff, I found 2 pennies 1860 and 1861.

The musket balls here are the smaller ones, a beautiful old horse shoe, other bits and bobs. The light was amazing from the sun, almost spring like so I got arty and took lots of photos 😁 xx

The last pic is the stuff we dug that I didn’t clean, that’s a lot of holes today!

Busy day of digging you had. Congrats

Nice going on the 2 pennies and the buckle.
No shortage of lead that's for sure, the one piece Photo#5 has a little design on it I see.

Great photo's blossom
Just need a little Holy around the tree knot and it turns into the Xmas wreath real quick.
Those strap hinge on the door is first class

I agree with Cru - fired shotgun slug.
Thank you for the beautiful landscape pictures and those of the old building.
Lead is worth something as scrap. I keep mine (and brass too) and turn them in for cash occasionally.

Yeap & Low Alpha Lead over 300 years old used to be worth more than Gold Prices.

Medical grade/old boat keel lead/lab testing lead can all be Low Alpha type lead.
Some can bring $25 a pound vs .50 cents a pound
