I have lost three, THREE small Buddha figures hidden in niches in stumps over the years.... I live in 100+ year old fir tree acreage... no neighbors at all.

I got two crummy trail cam pics. Not even worth posting but the fox did a selfie. I put out the new charger today. I have no interest in hurting the raccoons.

Don't feel bad Smokey...I have the same problems with the mischevious little turds..:laughing7:

I've got a rain gutter downspout that feeds into a 4" flex pipe, and then
into a gravel drain. They keep pulling the flex hose off the downspout.
Why? Got no idea..

Now, they come up on my porch and just wait for me to come out of
my shop....then, they give me this look..."Table for four, please." View attachment 2048071
They LOVE water. Love to wash their hands. Play. Put a bowl out at the end to catch the rain and they might leave the pipe alone. Or some other bath for them.

I slept most of today. Also called an exterminator to clean up the doodie. I'm somewhat freaked out by them (raccoons not exterminators) as they can run faster than me and I've had two rabid ones here in the past. The doodie can contain a parasite that will kill you if it gets into you. So I'm going to try to pay someone to get rid of it and disinfect the area. Apparently that has to be done with fire. At least that's what the CDC says. And you know they are always right! Now you know why I don't go outside at night anymore if I can help it.
Live traps and a .22 eliminates the problem, permanently. Been there dun that. Skin, cure the hide, and it makes a good conversation piece, lol also cats have a ball with them, tie a string in the nose and jerk it sliw across the floor, kitty gies nutzoid hahaha

I've got more respect for life than that, especially when they can
be encouraged to move on using non-lethal means.

There's a critter under that fur...with it's own personality, likes, dislikes,
etc. To take away it's life simply because it's an inconvenience just
don't seem right.

Was a time I felt different, but no longer.
