First hunt of the new year in the sun but a little cold. Shame it rained last night just as the field was drying on the surface! Hardest sticky day in awhile. 15 mins short of 6 hours. We are both pretty knacked.
At one stage we went & tried a small grass strip to give us some rest from carrying around so much mud!
Anyways a steady start on what's going to be another mega grid by the time we have finished.
60 buttons....
5 Scrappies (2 holed)
17th C Button & 1790s Royal Artillery Button
Nice Georgian Buckle with Crowns on it (never seen one before)
Nice Crotal Bell, still rings
17th C Knife Terminal
Degraded Saxon Strap-end
5 Lead Tokens
Jetton
Hammered of Ed III

Well you did well slogging it in the sticky. (I managed 4hr) knackered
I must admit taking the sticky mud off for just a few steps felt really good. (It so reminded me of your sticky fields)

Nice bell and the buckle is really unique, getting a first/different is alway a good day out.
