Got out and dug a 7 foot privy with barely anything in it. Total sand pit. Just a couple shards of ABM and tooled tops. Getting kinda disappointed we got to the bottom and had to tunnel just a bit through some wood ash. Reached the corner and out pops not one but two Spittoons. With some flower motif’s on both. Salt glazed interior. Of course no makers marks. That’s all that was in the pit. I’ve seen pieces and parts through the years but never whole ones. And now two in the same hole. Just strange. How many of you all have dug these things whole? At least we weren’t skunked.
Good luck out there everyone. Stay safe and keep on digging. Jgas.

Great finds! It makes you wonder why they’d be there. I usually think of the crap pits as being places where broken items were disposed.

Those are neat. Now you have to keep one on the floor next to your computer desk so you can chew giants wads of tobaccy while you post on TNet. The other one you can carry with you when out and about in the world like going to the grocery store, church, to a restaurant, family functions, or to see a movie. Again, so you can chew gigantic wads of tobaccy anytime, anyplace.
