I found these old chain links at the top of LAUERL HILL with my GARRET
these are very old
what kind of iron are these?
are they worth anything
I seen similar ones on google for 500 bucks or so
but who knows
these are pretty old

I found some stuff they left

check out a video of me unearthing the chains

I didn't block you, nor did I lose. You refuse to accept the fact that your chains are electro welded and not the ancient artifacts you want them to be. I can't do anything about your refusal and ignorance, so what's the point of continuing the discussion with you.

No... but it becomes apparent to others that this may your goal as to achieve "hits"... which is nothing new here... we see it all the time... and will turn people "off" from your posts.... so it will be a short lived self promotion.

Besides... if your video's are based on fantasy even the YouTuber's will catch on eventually...

Wait till you have something GOOD and factual to post...

In other words... dont burn bridges.

But your are not listening to people who KNOW what you have...

YOU are the one ASKING US... and you dont like to responses because you think you already have it figured out... when you dont.

Besides... IF you already had and idea or knew what it was you found... WHY ASK ?... and then continue to try and make others see what you think you see.

SEE.... after 40+ years of handling this stuff... I for one... have an idea of what i am looking at.

As well as many others that have contributed to your thread opinions and knowledge.

Turn of events have happened on a certain time stamp.
But it doesn't definitely qualify everything found, to be from that time stamp.
We can thread it, and dig it all we want.
But if one knows for a fact, that no other activities have taken place, in that location then one can assume, that the find may correspond with the historical event.
We all have that passion of believing something could be something.
Once in a while we do get the something.
But more often the item dug is a old item lost, with no providence.

You could bring them by the big used housing metalworks and hardware store up off JFk X Stark in NE Portland Maybe someone would know a collector.

I just know where I found it at at the top of lauerl hill on the Oregon trail where they tied chains to wagons and lowered them down for a 15 dollar fee
You just dismissed a pretty decent experts opinion which is based on quite a bit of research and knowledge.

I think we can all see the intent here.

Maybe lay off the gummy bears while you are detecting…

I,ll throw in a clod of dirt. The chains are,as has been said, machine electro welded, not hand forged. The type of links are modern, not old style, twisted link I think it,s called. Don,t matter if you found them at the top of Laurel Hill, those particular chains never lowered any wagons down Laurel Hill. There may well be chains that lowered wagons down Laurel Hill there, but that,s not one of them.Keep looking.
