Almost looks chewed on it's so bad.... once everyone chimes in and if you're still stuck, apply a silver eating acid for a minute or two, rinse, dry, and repeat. When the metal is pressed in the die, the deeper parts of the coin are a little harder than the high points (more compressed). The acid eats the softer parts a little faster and it can leave an image behind.

Maybe 1775 Half Real?
Totally. Not sure what version but I see 1775, and those hooked 7’s are very distinctive. I’m in very southern Wisconsin and if that’s what this is, it’ll be the 5th Reale of some kind that I know of that has been found within 100 miles of me. I haven’t personally found one and don’t expect to, but to know that they are around is mind blowing. It’s just not something that’s even on the radar around here.
