I took the battery out because I like my bacon crispy

.......if you cut the gizzards out off those shad you’ll have good bait. It’s $16-20 a pint here if you can even find it.

The only shad I see here are the stinky dead ones from the spawn.The only bait I use is sweet corn and boilies.

......that’s the ticket, Its the toughest job you have to love.
You can fish and cut bait at the same time.
Every few years I find some that winter killed and I cut bait. It’s been a few now.

After I cast my lines out I sit and wait for the rods to go down,or I walk and beach comb glancing back every few seconds.
