This is unbelievable this might be my most precious relic yet. I didn’t have much time I went on my lunch break because I saw this stream that runs through my town and normally it’s got a lot of water in it but it hasn’t rained in a while and I saw some rocks so I went for it. I saw lotta broken glass, blue white shards and a lot of iron and then I pulled up this NOT A DING ON IT!!! How can one man be so lucky? The Lord is good

“Here’s a tough one. An Antique, 100% Original Civil War era powder flask. This is for the Colt Model 1849 Pocket Model .31cal. These were also used for the .36cal, but those would have a slightly different spout. This particular flask would be for the “middle” 49er if I did my homework correctly. Meaning this would be correct for pistols in the 100,000 serial number range produced from 1855-57. This would be the shortest of all production periods making this the rarest of these flasks. Made by either Batty or American Flask and Cap Co. Correct screws all in tact, spring and lever properly working. Featuring the Eagle and shield with the mark E. Pluribus Unum along the bottom rocker. Patina is perfect, has not been altered. If you want to complete your 49 or 1862 Police model Colt set, this would be a good start! Take a close look at the pictures please as they’re 95% of the description.”

I know I know I still can’t believe it’s mine
