Got out early today because of some very humid weather we had for some time now In this wide open field with no trees I’m not going to last for long finds for today are 2 1907 and 1887 IH’S and what I think may be a bag seal... Do you know what was in this wide open field in the past? Or did you just happen to stumble upon these items by chance?

Yup, railway bag seal and actually it looks like B&A which would be the Boston and Albany railroad. There's a pretty good Wikipedia page on it (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boston_and_Albany_Railroad) and it looks like the last stop was Rensselaer. I love seeing those when they actually have the railway abbreviation on them!
wow that’s awesome it was found in a park in Albany and Rensselaer is where I live. How do you know Rensselaer was the last stop?

Last existing. I looks like the line used to go to Union Station in Albany which now houses bank offices. Most of the line still exists though and is still used for freight.

I knew it wasn't a bag seal & thought it must be either railcar seal or electrical, glad you pinned down the railroad!:icon_thumleft:
