Returned to an orchard that had a house on it and a big barn at one time and searched around for about 5 hours before I exhausted myself from carrying scrap cast iron around I found. I was beginning to find for whatever reason the finds were not limited to the area where the house and barn once where it seems for whatever reason things got spread all throughout the property. I found lots of trash, scrap cast iron, 3 wheat pennies(found all over the property) x2 1941 and a 1945. Found a tiny belt buckle that still works, a few what is it's, key, a watch that is completely destroyed, bullets, a old silver plated spoon, and what's left of a golf club. I was so determined to find something good but didn't find much. I had found a 1907 silver dime there on a prior search and finding the wheat pennies for me tells me there has to be more somewhere but I had no luck. I suppose was better than finding nothing. 20210819_165108.jpg mir_20210819_165534.jpg mir_20210819_165617.jpg mir_20210819_170046.jpg mir_20210819_170219.jpg mir_20210819_165656.jpg mir_20210819_165709.jpg mir_20210819_165727.jpg mir_20210819_170400.jpg mir_20210819_170522.jpg mir_20210819_170604.jpg mir_20210819_170505.jpg 20210819_165325.jpg 20210819_165328.jpg 20210819_165357.jpg 20210819_165255.jpg 20210819_165301.jpg 20210819_165240.jpg 20210819_165249.jpg 20210819_165210.jpg 20210819_165217.jpg 20210819_165206.jpg 20210819_165141.jpg 20210819_165131.jpg

Great work! Have you had any luck finding old maps of the property?

The bronze piece is from an old hikock belt buckle. The rest of it was probable Sterling if you can find it. May have been a monogrammed buckle.......

I dread trying to find it lol. The soil on this property clearly was spread everywhere I abandoned where the house and barn was and was finding stuff spread all over the property. This permission probably will keep me busy for many more visits.

Yes an old map is why I know there was something there. I feel there has to be something good somewhere around there but it's like 30 acres I'm finding everything got spread all throughout the property

I have no idea myself, I almost tossed it in my junk bag thinking it was a washer then the design just happened to catch my eye so I had put it in my Garrett box in the coin holder.

I just had to mention finding a head off a golf club didn't I! :BangHead: I still didn't find one at a golf course. Found one today at a rest stop off a freeway. I don't know if that's a weirder spot to find one or not! :laughing7:

Hi John. More cool finds, and I only just saw the spoon.

It's “Grace Silver Plate”, which was a trademark of Oneida. That’s their “Royal York” pattern, also known as “Oakleigh”, introduced in 1937.
