Despite the clocks changing marking the start of British Summer time, it was a cold and windy day in the fields! But we are hardly types, so undaunted spent the day searching for treasure for your viewing pleasure 😆 xx

Gorgeous Queen Victoria six pence (1855) Spindle whorl and Bag Seal, just 2 musket balls today, lots of buttons, 3 pretty ones, 2 lead buttons and 2 strap ends (?) chunky nail, and some pottery, a Jetton and toasted penny.

As we were in the ploughed fields, took some pics on the way home as the sea of mud didn’t inspire me …. great for digging, rubbish for pics 😂 xx

Careful, the sheep are getting closer than the picture in your last post! I hope they are friendly.
It's a great variety of old finds and the usual fine photography. Thank you for continuing to share. It's vicarious pleasure for those of us who: 1) can't detect now because of the snow and frost and 2) would never have the variety and age of finds in our more recently-settled areas.

Those sheep look pretty mean. Don't let them bite you! Congratulations on the cool finds.

Dang , you got it goin on there !

Whorl is fancy.
Now I've got a song stuck in my head from your six pence.( You'd be slapping me if I was around that recovery after a while and singing it over and over.)

Thanks for sharing.
