I sure love detecting. I wish I would have gotten into it when I was younger. My Dad had a piece of junk machine and I never thought much of it. I bought one in my 30s and it was junk also but I found enough keepers to keep going. I am so glad I bought a nicer machine and kept at it. I found some great stuff yesterday on a quick hunt. I have about a half dozen tokens from Victor that aren't in the books. This Monarch token is an unlisted varient. I'll get around to putting it on Tokencatalog this winter. I wish the bottle was whole it would have been amazing, the lid is very ornate! I love when you find bottles with the detector because of the lids. I'm not sure if that's a dog tag. It was found near an old school, maybe a school tag? Hopefully you will get out as much as possible before the cold sets in. I sure will be!!! Thanks for the posts, it sure makes it exciting to go out again today. I think I found a privy to dig, usually they are already dug up. We will see here in a few hours. Good luck out there!!!

The large Thomson-Houston Co. plate is a nice find.
I too wish I'd started detecting earlier than I did, but all that matters is we're out there now! :laughing7:

Best of luck to you,
Dave

Nice finds! That bottle would have been neat. Is that by any chance a cattle tag?

Nice assortment of finds.
That's a cool looking plate, and I agree with WannaDig that it could very well be a cow tag.
The bottle could be a early perfume bottle.(Not an exact but close)

Thanks Dave, yah 3300 volts is a lot for a current!!!. They are a very old electric company!!!

Thanks Wanna dig, it was found in downtown. I'm guessing a dog tag, but there was a school nearby, maybe a room key?
