Please note, I did not find these coins, they were given to me by a friend, maybe somebody here can indentify them for me please, they seem to be made from a sort of bronz or copper metal.

Thankyou

Re: Tokens (old coins)

I can't say if it's real... but it's an Indian Coin (India):

MYSORE KRISHNARAJA WODEYAR-5 CASH-LION-RARE YEAR 1843

11.JPG

MYSORE UDAYAR 10 CASH-LION 1834-1838

22.JPG

NOTE: All four of these coins look like they have worn evenly, together... they all look they were made from identical material as well - and this is suspicious to me.

I have NO problem considering these might be reproductions... ???

Re: Tokens (old coins)

I had a chat with my mate Ronny, he said that in 1979 he was travelling in India and he got them from some palace from a guy who had about 30 of them, Ronny chose the ones that were in the best condition, it is possible that they are reproductions, however they look good for a soveigner, however to me they are nice to display on the shelf with the other items that I have found.

No question they are cool, and I have NO idea if they are real... I like them and they are in great condition :)

I hope you can figure out what the other two are...

Re: Tokens (old coins)

Nice work, Jim! As for the other two...

The coin with the heart is an early 19th century copper from the Bombay Presidency in British India. It would be helpful to know the actual size.

The coin with crossed double lines and circles is a kasu copper of Mysore, an independent Hindu kingdom in 18th century India. (Similar coins were struck much earlier, all the way back to the 14th century.)
