It's a matter of public record: 24 degrees 31.5 feet North Latitude and 82 degrees 20 feet West Longitude

Only At_001 the real Atocha gps coords, all others place holders for making maps.

Thats because they are looking in the wrong place. heh

The problem is sand on the Atocha. Drift trails have been mapped out for years. It is much easier the way done now, find where debris trails crossed over rocks. Sand is very thin over hard rocky bottom. Sand yet holds much of the treasure, especially 3-4 miles NW of where the sterncastle broke off.

Believe me... I am quite familiar with Atocha... and how she lay.
Sand is a problem with every wreck that ever was.
The sterncastle "broke off" theory / point is only speculatory... not definitive... as its location therof.

I think the stern castle “break off theory” is exactly just that, speculative theory. If it did break off you’re never going to find “it” that wood is long gone. There could be a deposit of goods somewhere out there that matches the manifest, maybe. That’s finding a specific single grain of sand in the ocean.

Artifacts found already, chain, bars, i think it’s safe to say those were in the stern castle. Seems it’s been a very long time since anything really big or significant has been found.(or at least made public) You’ll never find “everything” but you do have to keep the investors and dream alive as long as possible ..

Have you talked to one of the guys that worked with RM to find out for sure what was recovered and taken back to Florida? I know one of them.

I’m not well versed as some on here about this subject, but if people knew about the location for hundreds of years. Don’t you think the site would have been salvaged for that same amount of time in one respect or another? Or at least until it was covered by sand?

Well... actually it was originally salvaged.
It was being salved from the time it sank... they knew the exact location...
Because the main mast was actually protruding into the air... so it was an easy task finding and began to salvage...
THEN... Another hurricane hit and she was lost.

@nd hurricane is what scattered the treasure for miles over the sandy area.
