Most criminals are not geniuses. Many are complete dumba$$es. For that very reason they bring about their own downfall.

Remember the idiots in North Carolina that stole several million from an armored car? They were busted after some of them bought a house in a gated community for several hundred thousand dollars IN CASH, expensive cars and motorcycles IN CASH, and even a velvet Elvis (Cash). This after living in a trialer. Another made weekly deposits of $9,000 IN CASH at the bank - with bundles of the money in wrappers from the armored car company. Talk about attracting attention to yourself.

Yes, they were thieves. And they brought about their own capture because they are dumba$$es.
