Is this area close to a spring or a creek.
It's right beside a creek. And actually has a few death traps like I'm 100% sure of but I will post some more pictures so you can kind of get a better glimpse of what the bluff looks like itself. I just think it's pretty fascinating and I'm trying to figure out basically what I have here

Are you originally from this place? Could give you a inside lock on maybe asking some old timers if they know any legends concerning outlaw hideouts and such,or maybe local legends as to Spanish occupation.Just a thought to get you more info. More you know, better chance you have of proving out your thesis.

The area is a travel way your main monument to look for will be an owl some time not easily distinguishable. Some of your carvings were made by native Americans, the Spanish or even the French would intermingle these carvings with these.

Interesting. I see in a couple of pics that someone is obviously digging and hauling dirt out. That you? What have you found? Cool rock art.

I think a college come down years ago and put a hole in the top of the bluff and went down inside of it but supposedly nothing was found in it. So far all ive known coming from there are arrowheads.

I have seen this type of work many times. A College or University will show up and go thru everything happens all the time. You believe that you are the first on site but there has been many others before.

A down-facing arrow or the upper half of an “X”. Either way, seems pretty clear.
