Starting off on a hill that steep with a fully loaded trailer is not a simple task, but I do have to wonder if the driver had the differential locked in, meaning it would be pulling with both drive axles instead of just the rear one.

When he starts to turn, the trailer is no longer sitting square with the drive axles and he's burning up a lot of HP.
