After the bad day we had yesterday on the newly cut Barley Field we looked else where to search.
We found a horse paddock field (with no horses in) & it had very short grass. We spent 2 hours in here with the best find being a Military Capbadge (Pin) with its clip still intact.
However, after I dug several modern items at 8inches we knew it had never been ploughed so moved on.
I wanted to do a bit more of the field we tryed the other day, Dad wasn't happy with this option but I made him try.
This nicest item pictured at the bottom of photo 2 is a Late Mediaval Book Clasp with a pattern I need
Then I got the Find of a lifetime at only 2inches
