TX hunting

I have heard that it's illegal because it's a national seashore, if anyone knows different please let me know. Thanx

In the 60's and 70's it was a great place to hunt. Today is all condos private beach don't wast your time
go east along the coast.

I have tried spi. Found a few buttons, newer dimes and pennies, not much really. Lots of trash as well. I have also heard it is illegal but no one has said anything to me when I was there, and there no specific signs posted that I've seen. Doesn't mean it isn't illegal, just haven't been told anything. I am sure there are some good finds there waiting to happen, just hasn't happened for me yet.

Metal detecting is forbidden in PINS (Padre Island National Seashore)

Metal detecting is legal in South Padre Island Except for the dunes and a couple parks.
